  • The appearance of uneven teeth: cosmetic bonding can be used to lengthen teeth that appear shorter than neighboring teeth, help smooth out uneven shaped edges in just one quick, painless visit.

  • Gaps between teeth: quickly closes the gap between two teeth in just one visit.

  • Chipped or cracked teeth: cosmetic bonding is often a great option to correct tooth damage that may not need a full porcelain veneer or full porcelain crown.

  • Discolored tooth structure: odd stains on a single tooth to avoid a full tooth whitening procedure.

Dental composites are very durable and with proper care can and do last for many years. Dr. Gritsiv has completed cosmetic bonding that has lasted 10 years and counting! However, cosmetic bonding is not as long lasting as porcelain crowns or porcelain veneers.

How does the bonding procedure work?

Cosmetic bonding is a quick, conservative procedure we often utilize to improve the appearance of your smile. During this procedure, the dentist will attach or “bond” at resin material to your tooth to enhance the color and/or shape. This resin material is fused together with the natural tooth enamel, preserving the tooth’s natural structure, which will create a strong structure that will look and feel like a natural tooth.
