DR. SAWYER

Meet the Doctor

Dr. Mason Sawyer

My career has and continues to have many paths, from the US military, healthcare, and dental care. Thankfully, I enjoy them all!

I joined the Army when I was 18 as a combat engineer and was commissioned as an Infantry officer in 2003 from the University of North Georgia. I graduated from the US Army Infantry Officer's Basic Course and the Infantry Mechanized Leaders' course and subsequently served as a Bradley Fighting Vehicle Platoon Leader in the Pennsylvania National Guard.

I have 4 combat tours, 2 to Iraq and 2 to Afghanistan. While serving in the National Guard I attended PA school.

I later graduated with my Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Marywood University in 2005. Since becoming a PA I primarily worked in Emergency Medicine and I still moonlight in a rural ER in Millen, GA.

In 2018 I graduated from the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University with my Doctorate of Dental Medicine Degree and currently still serve a Dentist for the GA National Guard.

My main hobby has become strength training in my home gym since my deployment last year. My free time is spent road and mountain biking as well as spending time with my two Manchester Terriers, Winston and Clemie. I really enjoy visiting and spending time with my brother, sister-in-law, and my 2 nephews who are currently stationed in Maryland, with the Army.
